Key Responsibilities

• Perform licensed practical nursing functions and services as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Complete assessments on residents and make appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications according to facility policy.
• Participate in the care planning process and update plans of care as needed.
• Comply with standards of professional documentation.
• Communicate and manage the delivery of resident care.
• Guide staff in meeting the needs of residents.
• Participate in physician rounds and communicate changes in resident condition.
• Seek educational opportunities and assist with orientation of new staff.
• Investigate incidents and facilitate conflict management.
