Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse I in the General Surgery/Trauma department. In this part-time role, you will provide compassionate care to patients while implementing physician orders, administering medications, and collaborating with the nursing team to ensure quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests.
Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care.
Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care.
Directs and guides ancillary personnel.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools
