Unit Description: Join our fast-paced 32-bed Emergency Department (ED) that serves both adult and pediatric patients. Our unit specializes in primary stroke care, STEMI management, behavioral health, and critical care. As an ED RN, you will be responsible for triage, patient assignments, and the use of advanced medical equipment to provide high-quality care in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
• Conduct triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on clinical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system (QCPR).
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience.
• Active New Jersey RN license (must be in hand at the time of submission).
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Additional Information:

• Flu Vaccine: Required unless a valid medical exemption with documentation is provided.
• Scrub Policy: Any color scrubs permitted—must be clean and professional in appearance.
• Interview Process: Virtual interview with the Department Director.
