Job Description
Join Optum as a Senior Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant and play a crucial role in improving health outcomes by supporting patients and healthcare teams. Key Responsibilities
Provide front and back-office support
Answer phone calls from multiple queues
Review and process prior authorization requests
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
Intake and update demographic information for patients
Schedule and manage patient appointments
Resolve customer service inquiries
Prepare exam rooms and document patient encounters in Epic
Handle incoming referrals and communications
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
3+ years of customer service experience
1+ years of medical front office or surgery scheduling experience
1+ years of basic computer software experience
1+ years experience as an MA-R or an MA-C
Preferred Qualifications
Surgery scheduling experience
EPIC experience
Prior authorization experience
