Key Responsibilities & Qualifications Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Critical Care experience in a similar healthcare setting.
- Prior travel experience is required.
- First-time travelers with Level I Trauma experience will be considered.
- Experience with a patient ratio of 1:2-3.
Required Skills:
- Charting: Epic.
- IV Therapy: Starting IVs, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Blood Product Administration, Arterial line management.
- Respiratory: Ventilator management, Care of Ventilated Patients, Interpretation of ABGs, Management of BiPAP/CPAP.
- Cardiovascular: Titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Other: Isolation Precautions/PPE, Management of multi-system organ failure.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Previous charge experience.
- Experience in a Teaching Hospital or Community Hospital.
- LTAC and Trauma Level I or II experience.
- Skills such as accessing ports, procedural sedation administration, and specialized neurological, cardiovascular, and oncology skills (see full list in original document).
Education & Certifications - Education: Minimum 2-Year Degree; 4-Year Degree (BSN) preferred.
- Licensure: Current RN license for the state of assignment.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA).
Additional Details - Float Requirements: Required to float based on the schedule.
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (6 shifts per 6-week period).
- Holidays: Overtime rate applies to specific observed holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
Local Restriction: This is not a local contract. Candidates residing in the following Texas counties will not be considered: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris.
