Key Responsibilities
Act on behalf of the supervisor in establishing priorities and resolving administrative problems.
Research and write background information for meetings.
Oversee and perform duties associated with scheduling and organizing complex events.
Compose and draft documents and correspondence.
Plan and schedule calendars, resolving conflicts and arranging travel.
Create complex reports and spreadsheets.
Oversee and process complex financial transactions.
Coordinate complex office moves and renovations.
Analyze and review material for briefing purposes.
Supervise day-to-day work of administrative or support staff.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma and six years of administrative experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
Proven success in following through and completing projects.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to others.
Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
Knowledge of Stanford’s financial systems and web applications.
Desire to work in an academic environment.
Four years of experience as an Executive Assistant or Director-level support.
