The Ready-Mix Sales Representative drives sales and customer relations in the assigned territory, monitoring market trends and contributing to forecasting and reporting. The role involves building strong relationships with clients, achieving sales targets, and collaborating with various teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong customer relationships with decision makers for selecting concrete suppliers
Understand established models for pricing and quoting
Develop and maintain a list of target and development customers
Meet or exceed new and retention sales volume goals
Track current trends in the national and local economy
Compile detailed competitive and industry information
Proactively maintain open communication regarding customer requirements
Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities
Provide timely reports, including monthly activity and expense reports
Assist Credit Department with collections
Attend industry-related events and participate in trade associations
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably in the construction materials industry
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to influence and drive decision-making as appropriate
Strong analytical skills
Team-player both internally and externally
Mid-level skill level with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Clean driving record (for last five years)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Public Entities (state, county, city governments, etc.)
Background in construction and/or manufacturing of construction products
Familiar with CRM and customer contact databases
Familiarity with ERP - SAP
