Key Responsibilities
Provide appropriate respiratory care specific to the pediatric population
Set up and operate respiratory devices and equipment
Assess patient conditions and determine treatment requirements
Monitor patient responses to therapy and consult with physicians as needed
Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and management techniques
Perform emergency care as required
Supervise and orient Respiratory Therapy students
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited AMA approved school of respiratory care
Current and valid Nebraska license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within 1 year
National Registered Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NPS) credential within three years of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 180 days
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an AMA approved accredited school in respiratory care
Minimum 1 year experience in respiratory therapy
Experience working with pediatric patients
