Job Description

Join the Johns Hopkins APL team as a Senior Engineer/Analyst, where you'll lead innovative projects to advance US military capabilities in ISRT and BMC2. You'll work at the forefront of technology, applying your expertise to develop cutting-edge solutions that enhance national defense.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to algorithm development for ISRT and BMC2 applications
  • Develop new signal processing and multi-sensor data fusion techniques
  • Create modeling, simulation, and analytical methods
  • Analyze new ISRT concepts and architectures
  • Lead field tests and experiments, including planning and data analysis
  • Document and present results to managers and at workshops

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, physics, or related field
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in a technical field
  • Expertise in remote sensing, signal and image processing, data fusion, statistical analysis, mathematical optimization, pattern recognition, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
  • Experience in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, and Java
  • Domain knowledge in ISR processes, systems, platforms, and sensors used by the US military
  • Strong inter-personal and written communications skills
  • Experience leading teams and complex technical efforts
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple concurrent projects
  • Willingness to work in secure areas and travel occasionally
  • Active Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, physics, or related field
  • At least ten years of work experience in a relevant technical field
  • Active TS/SCI-level security clearance
