As an MA/LPN/RN Family Practice, you need to know how to: Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections Provideclinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment Prepare basic laboratory tests on-premises and prepare laboratory specimens Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages Administer adult and childhood vaccines and wellness exams Observe disease improvement and help manage chronic conditions Help patients navigate the healthcare system, providing one-on-one education, and participating in the patient’s healthcare plan Assist with special procedures not offered in the Urgent Care, i.e., IUDs, Nexplanon, biopsies, diabetic foot care, sleep studies, Cologuards, and circumcisions Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service Provide quality customer service and patient education based on assessment of needs Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.) Aidin identifying methods of improving patient care Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals Assistor lead in emergency situations LPNs and RNs must have a current license from the Idaho Board of Nursing Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior Computer proficiency is required, and the ability to use applicable software as required to perform the essential functions of the job Now that you know more about being an MA/LPN/RN Family Practice on our team, we hope you'll join us.
