Job Description
As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1, you will design and implement behavior management programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves conducting assessments, developing support plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective interventions. Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Management Programs
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in clinical psychology, social work, school psychology, applied psychology, or related field
Documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
3 years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
Preferred Qualifications
National board certification in Behavior Analyst (BACB)
NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
NYS license in mental health counseling
