Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing concerns
Administer medications and contrast agents as required
Monitor patient vitals before, during, and after procedures
Assist radiologists and technologists during imaging procedures
Ensure proper positioning of patients and operation of imaging equipment
Respond to any patient emergencies or adverse reactions during procedures
Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions to patients
Educate patients on the importance of following imaging protocols
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Assist with scheduling and coordinating imaging appointments
Perform routine checks and maintenance on imaging equipment
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of relevant experience as a paramedic in a clinical or healthcare setting
NREMT-P certification OR AEMT certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in a related field
3 years of experience in advanced imaging or a similar role
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
