Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation - Travel Position

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team. This role is crucial for helping patients regain independence and functional mobility after a serious injury, illness, or surgery. The Inpatient Rehab PT will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from stroke, orthopedic procedures, and neurological conditions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a patient-centered approach, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patient mobility, strength, and functional status.
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to restore function and prevent disability.
Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, focusing on gait training, therapeutic exercises, and activities of daily living.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to ensure a coordinated and effective plan of care.
Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to support a successful return to home.
Document all patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist with discharge planning, recommending appropriate durable medical equipment (DME) and follow-up services.
Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in North Carolina.
Doctoral or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, or skilled nursing facility setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
