TotalMed Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements
Radius rule: 75 miles
Start date: Biweekly orientation
Contract length: 13 weeks (OPEN TO 8 or 17 WEEKS)
Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week – hours not guaranteed week of orientation
Primary location: Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital - 417 W 3rd Ave, Albany, GA 31701
Shift Requirements: 6:45am - 7:15pm 12HR Days
Float Requirements: Yes, to all acute care and cardio to take care of medical, or Emergency Center for acute care patient holds; mid-shift floats are uncommon (emergent needs only). Potential for North Campus (1.8 miles from Memorial Hospital).
Weekend requirements: Rotate every other
Holidays: Must work 2 out of 3 holidays
On call/Call Back: is rare
Break: 30 minutes
EMR: Meditech Expanse: experience preferred but not required (facility will train)
Education: Associates required; bachelor’s degree preferred
Required certs to be attached upon submittal: GA or compact RN license required, AHA BLS, and AHA NIHSS
Preferred: AHA ACLS (highly preferred)
Minimum experience: two solid years on a MS unit, travel preferred. Must have recent experience with Sickle Cell and PIV Insertion.
Patient ratios: Ratios 1:6 for both days and nights
Nurse Aides- Yes, CNA's 1:8, generally 1:10, do get as sitters
Scrub requirement/Uniform: Caribbean blue or white
