As a Department Manager at Whole Foods Market, you will lead and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with safety standards and implementing effective maintenance strategies. Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of the maintenance team
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental program standards
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine repair strategies
Develop preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment
Organize maintenance activities to minimize production downtime
Manage maintenance budgets and inventory of supplies
Build a positive work environment and manage performance of team members
Required Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
2+ years of experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing environment
12+ months of maintenance supervisory experience in the food manufacturing industry
Ability to plan, execute, and oversee maintenance projects
In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and hydraulic systems
Strong ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical documents
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as CMRP or CPMM
OSHA safety certification or other relevant safety training
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Intermediate computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
