Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Our operations team is seeking a Senior Buyer. This is a highly visible position with theresponsibility of providing results driven leadership to the Procurement, VendorManagement, and Inventory areas. This is a hands-on position in a fast paced, growingenvironment.

Daily responsibilities include Reporting, Material Purchasing, Inventory Monitoring, Managing Vendor Relationships and utilizing Lean Practices to maintainefficiencies in supply chain management through the production output stage ofcustomer order fulfillment.

Minimum Position Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing preferred
• Must be a US citizen

Preferred Skills

• Machining background
• Familiar with outside processes/subcontract
• Military/government contracting experience and knowledge preferred
• Oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Office
• ERP/MRP Experience

General Tasks And Responsibilities

• Supplier management including selection, negotiation, and contract

management.

• Responsible for both strategic and tactical procurement activities.
• Monitors and maintains procurement KPI’s and cost savings initiatives.
• Familiar with inventory traceability from receipt to shipment.
• Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify and developneeds and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptablesubstitutions.
• Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies,and equipment.
• Create and implement purchasing policies and procedures for purchasing andcontract management.
• Create/Maintain and/or implement purchasing systems.
• Acts as the company’s representative in negotiations with suppliers with focuson supplier relationship management.
• Coordinates removal or disposal of surplus materials.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
