Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of insurance processes, including deductibles, out-of-pockets, and copays
  • Accurately record payments and apply them to appropriate patient accounts
  • Conduct regular reviews of patient accounts to identify discrepancies
  • Interact with patients and their families to address billing inquiries
  • Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts
  • Maintain detailed records of all interactions and transactions
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations
  • Generate reports on accounts receivable status and collections efforts

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare finance or billing
  • Strong understanding of insurance processes and healthcare billing regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in relevant software applications for billing and financial record-keeping
