Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll evaluate and treat patients to improve their speech and language functions. Your expertise will play a vital role in patient recovery and education.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient's symptoms and medical status
Treats patients using appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families on home exercise programs
Documents according to insurance guidelines
Communicates with referring physicians regarding patient care
Supervises affiliated students
Participates in continuing education and departmental in-services
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Current Connecticut license or eligibility for it
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (or eligibility)
Valid driver's license for occasional travel
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows-based programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
