Job Description
Join Avera Health as a Respiratory Therapist, where you'll play a crucial role in assessing and managing patients' cardiopulmonary health. Work in a collaborative environment and make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and administer respiratory and cardiopulmonary treatments
Document patient assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record
Perform and maintain respiratory care plans and interventions
Ensure airway patency and perform emergency airway care
Conduct blood gas sampling and maintain blood gas analyzers
Assist in Pulmonary Rehab and outpatient clinic as needed
Perform diagnostic testing and instruct clinical staff on equipment use
Update policies and procedures and maintain quality assurance reports
Required Qualifications
Active license in the state of practice
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
1-3 years of experience
