Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you will lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional veterinary care to underserved communities. You will play a pivotal role in supporting team development and ensuring high-quality patient care while making a significant impact on animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques
Support a positive work culture through regular 1:1s and feedback
Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care
Triage and refer cases as appropriate
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Leadership abilities in challenging situations
Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
