Job Description
Join St. David's North Austin Medical Center as a New Grad RN Resident in the Renal Transplant unit, where you'll gain hands-on experience and mentorship in a supportive environment. This role is designed to help you transition from student to professional nurse while providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying changes in patient status
Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers
Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient for therapeutic response
Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs
Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions and treatment plans
Required Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
Preferred Qualifications
No previous experience needed
Some travel may be needed for training
