Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian and make a significant impact on animal welfare in underserved communities. You will lead a dedicated team, provide high-quality veterinary care, and help educate fellow veterinarians while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s Community Veterinary Clinic
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture and foster teamwork
Perform pre-surgery examinations and high-quality surgical procedures
Provide compassionate preventive and basic care to patients
Participate in administrative tasks such as scheduling and meetings
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate leadership abilities in challenging situations
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
