Delivers daily prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to radiation therapy patients under the guidance of the Radiation Oncologists and Physicist and collaborates with other staff. Assists the Radiation Oncologist in the initial set-up of a patient's radiation therapy treatment.
Delivers prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to patients and accurately monitors and documents each treatment. Incorporates technical knowledge of the equipment and expertise of clinical treatment set-up, anatomical landmarks, treatment recording, and management during patient care. Documents patient care and treatment.
Makes decisions related to patient care and treatment that is necessary beyond normal routine of clinical care. This could include nutritional and skin care guidance, suggestions on treatment visit by the physician and/or nurse practitioner, if the patient is having problems.
Conveys set-up instructions to co-workers and communicates effectively with physicians on treatment concerns.
Provides patient care and initiates life support measures as necessary.
Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and health care workers.
Performs computed tomography scans simulations (CT Sims) at a level not requiring constant supervision.
Performs simulation of treatment area under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
Associate's Graduated from an Accredited School of Radiation Therapy Technology
Radiation Therapy (T) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Upon Hire
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
~ Associate's Graduated from an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology
~1-3 years of experience as Radiation Therapist
