Registered Nurse - Nurse Supervisor -
Shifts: 3, 12 hours 7p-7a with rotation weekends and 2, 3-7pm shifts
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Three years recent nursing experience
Minimum BSN or in process required
Current Massachusetts RN licensure
BLS required
ACLS required
PALS preferred
Flu vaccine required for new staff starting 9/2. Current staff will need to be vaccinated by 12/1. (declinations not accepted).
Active MA license required
Local candidates not accepted.
Job Description:
The Nursing Supervisor provides clinical & administrative support to the nursing staff in the absence of the Nurse Manager and Nursing Leadership.
Demonstrates a commitment to evidence-based practice and performs in accordance with the philosophy, established policies, procedures and standards of the Nursing division and the Hospital.
Coordinates, directs and serves as the resource to nursing staff to ensure delivery of quality patient care in accordance with accepted standards. Clinical resource with strong organizational & communication skills in coordination & facilitation of patient flow.
Coordinates the allocation of nursing staff resources. Interprets & clarifies hospital policies for the nursing staff & other personnel.
Assists in the orientation & ongoing development of nursing staff, providing input to Nurse Managers.
Supports and facilitates staff nurse attendance and participation at hospital meetings.
This position requires sound decision making in critical situations.
