Job Description
Join Columbia Mental Health as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and provide culturally sensitive outpatient therapy to support client healing. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a nurturing environment that prioritizes professional growth and community mental health access.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct strength-based assessments for new clients and families
Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy
Develop crisis plans, safety plans, and wellness plans
Participate in case consultations and agency meetings
Complete billing, documentation, and treatment plans in a timely manner
Engage in collaborative care with the clinical team
Required Qualifications
Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
Current and active professional license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCP) in Virginia and/or Maryland or eligibility for licensure by hire date
Passion for mental health and commitment to high-quality care
Dedication to ongoing professional development
Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in outpatient therapy
Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies
Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
