Job Description
Join Torchy's Tacos as a Kitchen Manager, where you'll lead BOH operations, ensuring a clean, safe kitchen and a culture of excellence. You'll manage food costs, staff hiring, and team training, all while fostering a passion for scratch-made food.
Key Responsibilities
Managing food costs, placing orders, updating pricing, and completing inventories
Selecting, interviewing, and hiring all BOH Team Members
Creating the BOH Team Member schedules to support sales projections
Ensuring BOH Team Members follow recipes and properly weigh prepped items
Utilizing assessments to develop action plans for operations and food quality
Communicating direction to Team Members
Motivating and leading Team Members according to Torchys Values
Running shifts and supporting daily operations
Partnering with Learning & Development for training and certification
Required Qualifications
3+ years of kitchen management experience
State alcohol-server certification
Manager ServSafe certification
High-level understanding of training and development concepts
Ability to foster teamwork
Leadership skills
Oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects
