Job Description

Join Torchy's Tacos as a Kitchen Manager, where you'll lead BOH operations, ensuring a clean, safe kitchen and a culture of excellence. You'll manage food costs, staff hiring, and team training, all while fostering a passion for scratch-made food.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing food costs, placing orders, updating pricing, and completing inventories
  • Selecting, interviewing, and hiring all BOH Team Members
  • Creating the BOH Team Member schedules to support sales projections
  • Ensuring BOH Team Members follow recipes and properly weigh prepped items
  • Utilizing assessments to develop action plans for operations and food quality
  • Communicating direction to Team Members
  • Motivating and leading Team Members according to Torchys Values
  • Running shifts and supporting daily operations
  • Partnering with Learning & Development for training and certification

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of kitchen management experience
  • State alcohol-server certification
  • Manager ServSafe certification
  • High-level understanding of training and development concepts
  • Ability to foster teamwork
  • Leadership skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand for several hours and walk for long periods
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects
