Radiology / Cardiology-Interventional Radiology/Allied

Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted only if experienced in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath, Endoscopy or Minor Procedures.
Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS
General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Department is staffed with 2 RN's and 2 Special Procedures Radiology Techs. Routine Procedures are performed between 8 am and 4:30 pm daily M - F. Emergent procedures are performed after hours as determined by the Radiologist and referring physician. Most procedures require Moderate Sedation given at the direct supervision of a Radiologist for the procedure. Types of procedures include: Permacath insertions, temp dialysis catheters, Angiography (no neuro); GI Bleed and Post Partum Bleed Embolization, Abscess Drainage, Biopsy all done with either Fluoro, Ultrasound or CT Guidance. Monitoring of patients with Pacemakers in MRI, Monitoring of any critical care patient as availability allows. Pre Procedure review of patients history etc. Post Procedure "recovery". Facility does not perform Neuro Interventions.

Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
RTO: MAX 7 days
Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
Floating: Yes, within the facility
Call Requirements: Every other week Monday PM - Monday AM (Team is flexible in covering each other's call. Call is split evenly between Nurses; always on call with one tech. Radiologist calls the on-call team in.
Major Holidays are listed below:
New Year’s Eve and Day: Wednesday, December 31 and Thursday, January 1
Spring Break: April 6-April 12 (NO RTO)
CLINICAL SCREEN - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis.
