Key Responsibilities
Supervise all employees at the service center
Handle payroll issues and personnel changes
Administer corrective action and monitor staff development
Plan daily manpower needs for timely freight delivery and pickup
Provide information to employees about productivity and policies
Research and implement cost-cutting and efficiency improvement measures
Maintain clean and safe working conditions
Comply with relevant laws and company policies
Oversee documentation for hazardous material shipments
Lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally more, and perform various physical tasks
Required Qualifications
5 years of supervisory experience
Thorough knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry
Experience with transportation rules and regulations
Knowledge of OSHA standards and hazardous materials regulations
Experience with Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license
Availability to work various shifts and travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
Experience with process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma
Forklift experience
Ability to multitask and prioritize work
Excellent organizational skills
Solid analytical skills
Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and administrative skills
