About the Role:Amergis is seeking experienced Med/Surg LTACH RNs to provide high-quality care in a long-term acute care setting. This role involves managing complex patients with ventilators, central lines, chest tubes, and other advanced therapies. Nurses must be confident in handling a 6:1 patient ratio and working in a fast-paced, high-volume unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Document care plans, interventions, and outcomes
- Provide a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for patients
- Support professional practice in accordance with nursing standards, patient rights, and facility policies
Qualifications:- Active RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital bedside experience required
- Experience with ventilator management, central lines, chest tubes, heparin drips, blood transfusions, TPN, and ACLS
- ACLS certification required prior to start
- Current BLS certification
- Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Strong communication skills and computer proficiency
- Must be 18+ years old
