Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Tupelo, MS 38801 (Mississippi nursing jobs)
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (16 beds)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 14, 2026 – End: April 12, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: 3-1-3 or 6 on/8 off (provided at contract start)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
• Floating: Required to float to other stepdown units as needed
• Weekend & Holiday: Must work Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and New Year's Eve or New Year's Day
• EMR: Epic

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Mississippi RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac stepdown or stepdown RN experience
• Ability to pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) tests with 80% or higher
• Full scheduling flexibility (no block or self-scheduling)
• Cannot have worked perm or per diem at NMMC in the past 12 months
• Willingness to float to units within competency

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients
• Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float to other stepdown units as needed
• Comply with hospital policies, including mask requirements for unvaccinated staff
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
