Join Zen Educate as a Teaching Assistant and play a vital role in supporting special education students. You'll work in a welcoming environment, assisting with lesson preparation, classroom management, and providing tailored support to diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
Ensure consistent support for students through communication with teachers, parents, and staff
Assist with personal care or hygiene needs
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behaviour Technician experience
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid certification
CPI or Pro Act Training
