Job Description
As an Army Orthopedic Surgeon, you will protect the foundation of Soldiers' musculoskeletal systems through expert surgical and nonsurgical care. This role offers the opportunity to advance your medical career while serving your country and contributing to the well-being of Soldiers and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct surgical and nonsurgical treatment of Soldiers' musculoskeletal systems
Utilize state-of-the-art equipment
Participate in continued education courses, seminars, and trainings
Conduct research for the development of the field
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
Completed at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
Preferred Qualifications
Permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
