Sterile Processing Technician
Monday to Friday 4 Days in a week 10 hour Shift On Call Required
EMR - EPIC
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent, on-the-job training or certification program
Certification as Sterile Processing Technician
American Heart Association BLS
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Maintains all sterilization logs for autoclaves and steris System 1E machines
· Performs daily Bowie Dick Test
· Performs daily Biological Test for Autoclaves and System 1E
· Performs and documents Bi-monthly cleaning of autoclave
· Cleans and processes GI scope with documentation and sterilization as needed.
· Makes arrangements for equipment repair, sending out and receiving in
· Maintains department inventory control for supplies and implants utilizin established PAR levels
· Works with Materials for special orders, updating EPIC, inventory changes
· Assists in pulling cases uses preference cards as needed
· Assist with opening cases using sterile technique as directed by RN and ORT
· Practices and is knowledgeable of AAMI Guidelines and practices
· Participate in committees as assigned
· Perform in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulatory agency standards
· Perform in accordance with EPH vision, mission and goals
· All other duties as assigned
