Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, leading a dedicated team to provide exceptional veterinary care to underserved communities. You will mentor veterinarians while ensuring high-quality treatment and animal welfare in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery provided at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high-quality surgical procedures
Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and meetings
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire
