Holidays: 2 major holidays (holiday only, not eve)
Floating: Required to similar units as needed (max 4 patients when floated)
Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our acute care team in a fast-paced, Level II trauma environment. The ICU RN will provide comprehensive, high-quality patient care to critically ill adults requiring advanced monitoring, life-support, and intervention. Candidates must be proficient with Epic EMR , experienced with titratable drips, and comfortable managing complex cardiac and medical-surgical ICU cases.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Titrate and manage complex IV drips, including vasopressors, inotropes, antiarrhythmics, sedatives, and anticoagulants.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team—intensivists, RTs, NPs, and PCAs—to coordinate patient care.
- Assist with bedside procedures such as intubations and tracheostomies.
- Utilize and document accurately in Epic EMR .
- Respond to rapid response and code situations as needed.
- Float to other critical care or step-down units as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and professional standards.
Required Certifications:
- BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA)
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA)
- NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
Education & Experience:
- Minimum Education: ADN or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred but not required)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience in a Level I or II trauma facility
- System Experience: Epic EMR proficiency required and must have used Epic recently
