Job Description
Join GXO Logistics as a 2nd Shift Inspector where you'll ensure quality standards for processing materials. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment that fosters personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection of machine parts and castings utilizing various inspection techniques and equipment
Conduct receiving inspection and testing of incoming materials
Validate and disposition of actual defects for both Hardware and Documentation Quality Notifications (QN)
Participate in cause and corrective actions to alleviate production difficulties
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience with Open Setups to inspect orientation, location and form
Extensive experience with blueprints, MIL-STDs, technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documents
Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong reading, writing, verbal and presentation skills
Ability to work within a technical environment developing/implementing practical solutions
Incoming and/or Production Inspection experience
Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with employees, teammates, and customers
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as SAP (PRISM)
Strong desire for safety and security
Ability to support on weekends and extended hours on a surge basis
Ability to perform job assignments with little to no assistance
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience using drawings, manuals and diagrams for installation
Excellent communication skills with managers, employees and vendors
Ability to influence without authority
Working knowledge of SAP
Analytical, problem solving, and business communication skills
