Key Responsibilities
Provide professional development and education for nursing staff
Assist staff in preparing for contemporary practice
Support staff in acquiring evidence-based knowledge and skills
Facilitate bridging the gap between research and evidence-based practice
Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing educational needs
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing or related discipline preferred or must be matriculated into a Master’s degree program
Minimum of 5 years of RN experience on med/surg, telemetry, and/or critical care units
Licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia
Current BLS (CPR) certification required
Preferred Qualifications
Board-Certification within specialty preferred or acquired within 9 months of employment
