Role: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Cardiac / IMCU

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Nurse with a strong cardiac background to join our 28-bed PCU/IMCU unit. This unit cares for intermediate-acuity cardiac patients (STEMI, NSTEMI, post-CTS, C/P), including those on cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine, pressors). The nurse may also be assigned telemetry patients within the same unit.

Qual
ifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state - GA or compact
• Minimum 2 years of documented PCU (progressive care) experience in a similar-sized facility
• Experience working in a cardiac PCU/step-down or IMCU with a nurse:patient ratio of ~1:3–4
• In-depth knowledge of cardiac conditions, telemetry, and cardiac medications
• Competence in administering and titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Milrinone, Dobutamine, pressors)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS

Scheduling & Holidays No block scheduling; weekends required Holiday restrictions: Time-off requests for Nov 26–29, Dec 23–26, Dec 30–Jan 2 will not be approved Travelers will be scheduled to work either Christmas Eve/Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve/Day, and either Thanksgiving or Black Friday, based on unit needs
