As Senior Director of Behavior at ARC & CARE, you will lead the behavioral health and welfare of animals in New York City, ensuring high-quality care and fostering a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for ARC and CARE animals
Ensure high-quality, low-stress patient care
Manage a team of behavior experts
Lead research projects related to animal behavior
Collaborate with various teams to improve animal welfare
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Ability to work in a high-volume environment with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
Experience with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Comfort with humane euthanasia decisions
Fear Free certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in developing/overseeing research projects
Experience writing scientific publications
