Job Description
Join MUSC as a Patient Care Technician, where you will support patient-centered care by monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring patient comfort. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, making a real difference in the lives of patients.
Key Responsibilities
Measure and document vital signs
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Ensure patient comfort and safety
Identify patient concerns and report them
Move, turn or relocate patients as required
Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized
Monitor vital signs and patient condition
Assist nursing staff in administering basic treatments
Provide emotional support
Assist with other duties assigned by the department leader
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Basic Life Support certification upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
One year of patient care work experience in a health care facility
