Join Akron Children's Hospital as a Mental Health Therapist II where you'll utilize your counseling skills to provide comprehensive assessments and tailored interventions for patients and families. This full-time position supports the mental health of children and adolescents in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial comprehensive patient and family psychosocial assessments
Communicate with staff regarding assessments and treatment plans
Provide case management for assigned patients
Use evidence-based trauma and risk assessment tools
Complete necessary documentation promptly
Conduct therapy sessions using CBT and DBT modalities
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Mental/Behavioral Health Counseling
Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT)
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with electronic medical record software, such as EPIC
Experience providing clinical services through telehealth
Supervision endorsement from the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board
