Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and contribute to a progressive company dedicated to high-quality waste and recycling services. You will perform critical maintenance and repairs on diesel heavy trucks, ensuring safety and reliability for our diverse customer base.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicle systems
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns when on call
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English
Ability to meet physical and safety requirements
Ability to provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems
Familiarity with diagnostic software (e.g., Premium Tech Tool)
