Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently performs advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures Serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations Required QualificationsCompletion of a CAHEA approved formal training program in diagnostic medical sonography Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registry eligible Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications2 years of sonographer experience Advanced certification in area(s) of specialty according to facility need
