Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator and make a significant impact on patient care. You'll serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive quality service while managing important demographic and insurance information in a compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Communicates with patients and families to complete the registration process
Responds to patient inquiries in a compassionate manner
Utilizes computer systems to ensure accuracy of patient data
Checks in patients and obtains necessary demographics and insurance information
Answers billing questions and provides patient estimates based on insurance benefits
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
6+ months of experience in an office setting, customer service setting, phone support role or call center environment
Basic proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications
Ability to work Wednesday - Saturday 4:00PM - 4:30AM
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of Registration experience in a hospital or medical setting
Understanding of medical terminology
Working knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
