Overview
Castleview Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist to join its clinical team. This position is designed for professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality respiratory care and thrive in a hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Manage and monitor patients requiring mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support.
- Assess, evaluate, and document patient respiratory status and progress.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care practices.
- Maintain and ensure proper functioning of respiratory therapy equipment.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist license in Utah (or eligibility to obtain).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) considered.
- Minimum of 2 years recent hospital-based respiratory therapy experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
