Job Description
Join US Foods as an Intermediate Fleet Mechanic and be part of a team that supports the foodservice industry. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met while working in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, and repair diesel equipment
Perform preventative maintenance
Complete documentation of all repairs and maintenance
Handle road service calls and perform road rescue
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Keep track of assigned repairs
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic
Valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification preferred
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency
Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations
Preferred Qualifications
Diesel Mechanic Certification
TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification
Excellent communication skills
Experience in administering appropriate PM program
