Join Centennial Surgery Center as a Prescreening RN, where you will play a vital role in ensuring patient health and readiness for surgery. You'll assess patients' needs and provide essential pre-operative instructions, all while working in a supportive and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities
Contact operative patients for pre-operative assessment
Assess the physical and psychological health status of patients requiring surgical intervention
Perform preoperative patient phone calls to conduct preadmission assessments and provide appropriate pre-operative instructions
Coordinate with surgery center scheduler to facilitate, organize, and complete charts for procedures
Consult with Physician/CRNA on patient assessment concerns and schedule preoperative evaluations as appropriate
Report test abnormalities and other pertinent information to relevant staff
Required Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Minimum 2 years of experience in a PACU or ICU setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
Active RN license as required by state of employment
Required valid BCLS Certification upon employment. (online certification not acceptable)
ACLS required
PALS as required by facility
