Join Hillcrest Medical Center as a full-time Patient Care Technician in the ICU, where you will work closely with nurses to deliver exceptional patient care. In this role, you will monitor patients, assist with daily activities, and contribute to a supportive healthcare environment that prioritizes both patient and staff wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Work in partnership with the registered nurse to support patient care.
Monitor patients at timed intervals, document data as directed, and report observations and patient concerns to the registered nurse.
Obtain and record patients' vital signs accurately.
Respond promptly to all call lights.
Assist patients with mobility and basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
Participate in purposeful hourly rounding and bedside shift report as directed.
Perform direct and indirect patient care duties as assigned and may provide clerical support to the assigned unit.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Basic Life Support certification
Knowledge of patient care procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification
