Key Responsibilities
Create an inclusive and collaborative classroom environment
Establish a respectful classroom climate
Implement and reinforce PBIS strategies
Track and document student progress
Deliver differentiated and targeted instruction
Adapt curricular content for diverse learning styles
Utilize engaging instructional methods
Manage student caseload and IEP responsibilities
Prepare detailed lesson plans and organize instructional materials
Stay informed on current best practices in special education
Pursue ongoing professional growth
Contribute to the school community
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, special education or a related field
State teaching license and/or certification requirements
Current or in-process state special education credential
Experience with curriculum development and differentiation in a classroom setting
Knowledge in special education services and compliance
Experience with IEPs
Proven success in developing effective education plans
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to act in emergencies
Knowledge of instructional technology and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Special Education knowledge
Elementary Education experience
