Job Description

Join Cooper University Health Care as a Patient Services Representative and play a crucial role in supporting patients and healthcare teams. You will manage administrative and scheduling needs while ensuring a seamless experience for patients in innovative health programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and field phone calls and voicemail messages
  • Monitor assigned front desk pools and document events in patients' digital health record
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, perform check-in/check-out
  • Prepare patient charts and information prior to scheduled appointments
  • Facilitate activation of patient’s MyChart account
  • Support patient screening for digital remote patient monitoring program eligibility
  • Order/ship digital remote monitoring devices and confirm patient receipt
  • Collaborate with patients, caregivers, providers, and healthcare team members
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality for all patients

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility
  • Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations, and referrals
  • Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication, and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic experience
  • NAHAM Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification
